Pardon Butts, son of Abner Butts, was born on September 3, 1793. He married Ruth Lameon on January 13, 1818 in Farmington, Ontario County, New York. He later married Hannah Van Wagoner on April 5, 1847 in Coonsville, Ontario County.
Pardon Butts signed the “Testimony of Eleven Neighbors” on November 3, 1833, later printed in Mormonism Unvailed.[1]From 1830 to 1831, Pardon was an overseer for the Manchester Road District No. 30. By 1850, he was a laborer.[2]
Sometime later, he moved to Auburn, Geauga County, Ohio.[3] He died on November 3, 1880 in Chester Township, Geauga County, Ohio at age eighty-six.
