Lewis Foster, son of Joel Foster, was born on May 2, 1800 in Palmyra, New York. He married Hannah C. Carpenter on September 24, 1827 in Hardwick, Worcester County, Massachusetts. To their union were born five children.[1]
On December 4, 1833, Lewis Foster signed the “Testimony of 51 Neighbors,” later printed in Mormonism Unvailed.[2] He died on October 8, 1848 and was buried in the Palmyra City Cemetery.
