

Israel F. Chilson was born in 1804 in Massachusetts. He lived in Manchester, Ontario County, New York for most of his life, and married Susan B. Chilson. To their union were born five children. In 1833, Israel was taxed on a hundred acres in Manchester.[1] On December 4, 1833, he signed the “Testimony of 51 Neighbors,” later printed in Mormonism Unvailed.[2]
The US Federal Census record from 1840 to 1870, listed Israel as residing in Farmington, New York.[3] He died on April 12, 1870 in Farmington, and was buried in the Salem Cemetery in Farmington.
