Asahel Millard (1798–1887)

Asahel Millard was born on May 10, 1798 in Cornwall, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Rufus Millard and Rachel Hall. He had two spouses: Aurilla Wilson and Sarah Wilson.

On December 4, 1833, Asahel signed the “Testimony of 51 Neighbors,” later printed in Mormonism Unvailed.[1]Asahel was a builder. He helped build the Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra, the Palmyra Hotel, and the Union School.  He died on September 4, 1887 in Palmyra and was buried in the Palmyra City Cemetery.
